I fear, closing my eyes each night
Which brings to light, a sin
I shall never forget, nor will ever stop
Being sorry.
It occurred in my teens
She was truly my queen,
A beauty, a princess, a Goddess
To me it seemed
We loved each other.
Time had cluttered my mind
A sin left behind, wedged
Somewhere in the crevasses
Of memories opressed.
Between my dreams
I am haunted through defogging thoughts
Of her where about.
Wondering still
If my wrong doing dwells
Within her memories
Of my hideous actions that night.
When I escorted her to a dance
I dared danced and left With another
That struck my vision,
Never conquering my heart.
I only wish, I could see her
Just one more time
Before from this life, I depart
I passionately seek her forgiveness
For that night, breaking heart heart.
My 30th high school renunion was this fall........I declined to attend........and low and behold.....about 3 weeks ago.....my senior year boyfriend, contacted me!!!
you have a pure heart to still feel the effects of breaking a heart from so long ago ... it's a lesson in life which you have learned most earnestly ...
very good past love expression William, I can relate. when we're young we make all type love mistakes. Some even when we mature. My young life was mixed with a lot of luck. But now in my olders years I operate only on skill. only way to prevent a spill. G

Our youth holds many regrets for things we wish now we could change. Hopefully she has within herself forgiven you..which is something you should do as well.
