On a cold, sad and lonely pier
Disappearing like a ghost
Within the incoming fog
an occasional foghorn
can be heard at a distance.
A slight shadow
Is observed
Walking back and forth
Lonely she was, at this point
Of a shattered heart.
Her lover, a ship's Captain
Away for five years
Overdo home, two months ago
The hagged had figure
Suffered enough.
She remembered when
Her beauty was the cause
Of every sunrise
That, he uesd to whisper softly
Into her most attentive ears.
During moments
Of passions untold
They took each other
One notch, into every unknown
Crevasse Of ecstasy.
She remembered how tight
He held her, within his arms
Yet his embrace
Was gentle and tender
Within his arms, she reigned
Queen of his heart.
Now finds herself, at the edge
Of insanity
Remembering moments
Of that morning
When his ship, slowly sailed
hauntingly towards the ghostly
Foggy horizon
Fading into the infinity
Of posedon's realm.
Little did she know
That his ship, was lost at sea
Consumed, by a gigantic Octopus
During a raging storm
While his ship
Rounded the horn.
Her passionate love, from within
Where eating her alive
Aging, beyond her years
Skeletal face, drying hands
So many tears.
She stared towards
The sea
Committing transgression
She never dreamed
She cursed
All she saw, before her eyes
The sea, The sea, The sea.
She closed her eyes
In hopeful prayers
That he is still alive
Soon will be, by her side.
Unnotice, a giant tentacle
Slowly curled around
Her, once beautiful legs
Like a huge serpent
Grasping her, within it's clutches.
Without a scream
Nor a second thought
She closed her eyes
Knowing that with her lover
She'll soon be
First time, she smiled in years.
Magnificent William, your silver tongue transported me to a place in time where love is enternal, no matter the seperation. One of my favorites of yours.....thanks for sharing
