What have you done to me?
I feel strange within
You are that Raven
That stared deep
Into the endless pit
Of my soul.
You have ignited
Something within my heart
That’s beyond understanding
For one
Who has fallen head over heels
In love with the image
Of an illusive dream.
I write about you
Yet no one can ever
Read between the lines
As I expose
This passionate love
I’ve created within
My heart and soul.
You are that Raven
That stares deep
Into the endless pit
Of my soul.
How can I ever express
This unexplainable
Love
I feel for you
That dwells in my heart.
My mind is unable
To conjure
Words to describe
True passionate love
In it’s embryonic stage.
A love I am unable
To control
What powers you possess?
To imprint
These feelings
Like a branding iron
Upon the raw flesh
Of my innocent heart.

Kinda dark and I feel you baring your soul's honesty in this piece; I find it well written, chock full of meaningful metaphors (I don't pass that kind of compliment on often.) that support the imagery of this work. A great piece of art.
The Raven. A mystical bird of flight. Able to pearch in the belly of the night, as love is able to perch within the belly of silence. Beauitiful piece.
The words sounds like the tick-tack tick-tack of fate's clock, diminishing to a murmur of sand marking the every second as they fall from one glass to another.
