To fall asleep,
With aromatic, fresh linen,
Without you, by my side,
was breaking my heart.
As I toss and turn,
In the darkness,
Of a lonely night.
A gown, laid on the bed.
Prepared for you,
I held it, in my hands,
As I, caress my face,
with it's silkiness.
Your scent,
Lingered, on it's softness,
As I breathe in,
What I thought, was you,
By my side.
Unable,
To hold back a tear,
Rolling down the side,
Of my face,
This seemed, out of place.
I know you are there,
And I am here,
Non the less,
We are both apart.
But our love,
Will always, be there,
Deep,
In my heart and soul.

this is amazing- it just highlights the way everybody has felt at least once. I hate this feeling, it's not so much lonliness, as emptiness isn't it? Brilliantly written.
