A Lover's Farewell

In my arms, she softly melts,
Looking into each other's,
Tearful eyes,
Searching for answers,
Under the dark, night skies.

Kiss me, my darling,
To the fronts, I am bound,
Not knowing, if tomorrow,
Will I, be around.

A taste, of you,
I shall take with me,
To the forlorn, fields of battle,
And trenches of despair.

My love for you,
Will always be there,
Deep in my heart,
And gallant soul.

Die with honor, I will,
If fall, I shall,
With tearful eyes, for a love,
I hope to see, among the stars,
Of our heavenly skies.

Kiss me, my darling,
For in battle,
I might die.

Saw Pearl harbor three times. This is just as a scene from that movie and the real thing and Viet Nam, desert Storm, just all the wars.
Great write.
