Sitting in darkness,
nursing a broken heart,
Listening to the rain,
Pouring down hard.
Flases of lightning,
Illuminating, a picture of you,
I hold in my hand,
As I trace your face,
With my finger,
A tear I erase.
Wishing I was there,
With loving arms, around you,
Running my fingers, through your hair,
But I'm here, just thinking of you.
The whistling wind,
Rushes through the cracks,
Makes it, all the lonelier,
Just until, I get back.
It's hard being away,
From the one,
You wish to be with, someday.
As time will tell along the way.
It won't be long,
Before my lips, you'll taste,
True love, lingers at time,
But when I leave,
I'll leave with haste.
