~~~~~~*~~~~~~
At the crack of dawn
I can hear bells
softly ringing,
At a distance
from bopping buoys
In the warm
misty harbor.
~*~
As I walk towards,
The boardwalk, by the shore
Where the sweet fruit
Of my life
Is patiently waiting
On a bench
with her hands crossed
On her lap
Like a proper lady
She's Waiting.
~*~
She squints her eyes
Towards the eastern horizon
To view, the heavens
Aflame
With the brightest of orange hues
As a new day, is at hand.
~*~
A gentle breeze
Ruffle her golden strands
Of shoulder lenght silky hair
Slightly obstructing,
Her view.
~*~
She, being the proper princess
Allows only Nature
To rearrange her hair
As she gyrates her head
Gently side to side.
~*~
As zephyrs
Softly blow her hair
In Place
Away from the beauty
That blesses her face.
