So Far Apart

Why do I feel
So low, down and out?
As I lay in bed
Next to the love, of my life
Wanting to hold her
As her body, I wish to caress.
~*~
To be able to taste
What love used to be
When we were young
Passionate nights, we shared
As her whispers
Fueled
Longing of wanting ecstasy.
~*~
Now she lays, next to me
A million miles away
Staring into the unknown
So Far Away, Again today
With a blank, passionless face.
As I wondered
How we ever got there
To this ugly pace.
~*~
No woman
Could hold, a candle to her
I've never, loved another
As in my youth
I craved.
~*~
I don't remember approaching
This fork in the road
Not loving her
Never bloomed, in my thoughts
This feeling of hurt
Now resides, deep inside my soul.
~*~
It's not, like the love
I feel for the rose
That brings happiness
Before withering away.
~*~
Yet, we still love her
As she blossoms
In our memories
in days by gone.
~*~
A love denied
To a man, that worships
A woman's love,
Opens doors
To hated moments
Long thought, a dormant beast
Sealed, in an aching heart
As we lay so near,
Yet, So Far Apart.

My God!

This is sad but love in it's simple form after years build the fences.

I feel it down deep!

I could feel your pain so well here. What a difficult situation. Maybe you could find out why she is a million miles away.

I've felt lonliness,,I've been lonely. I've never felt this depth of lonliness. I wasn't sure I could imagine such,,until now. But the tears that are rolling down my face proves that your words have penetrated the walls of my heart to allow me to witness what you have written. ~tears~ Lisa
