Poem Artwork

Darkness came to my door one night
'neath the cover of the December moon...
But found it was not my time to leave,
the devil came to get me too soon.

I don’t know why he would waste his time
coming for someone he cannot see,
When he knows, without doubt it the Lord’s hand I hold
and he’ll never, ever be able to take me.

Darkness stood and looked as if
he had been fooled by God one more time,
Shadow should know he’s not welcome here
I don’t know why he keeps trying.

So I stood and I laughed as darkness went pale
as he saw the flash of the Lord’s power this night,
Darkness promised he’d never come near me again,
‘cause he couldn’t deal with such a beautiful light.

I agree with Jeff but those who know the bible must always be prepared to not let darkness come in no matter what he promises. Stay in the light.

A grand inspiration for those that stand within the light, and for those that are searching for the safety.
Enjoyed.
