His Guiding Hands

(Inspired by the poem "Hands" by Leslie Ann Abrogast)

Hands of Faith, of prayerful hope,
hands that learn the actions of
discovering how to cope with
the heaviness of mortal load.

Hands that teach, and hands that heal,
hands creating every meal,
the bounty of which in your hands he has placed.
The giving and receiving and learning of Grace.

Hands that have learned to hold a child,
to lower a fever that rages too wild.
Hands that have touched, and hands that have cared,
hands that have received and have learned how to share.

Hands that have held His bible in song,
veneration of Christ as I walk along.
Hands that have eaten and hands that sip
at the holy cup of suffering, He held it to my lips.

Hands that believe, and hands that weave,
hands that live Truth, and those that deceive.
Hands that will save us, hands we can Trust
to live in our hearts, and bless spirit with touch.

Hands that sit and learn to pray,
that take all darkness from our days.
Hands that hold us, that carry us home,
guide us from taking the incorrect road.

Hands that wipe tears from our sorrowful cheek,
hands to protect the mild, and the meek.
Hands that guide us, hands that care ~
eternal friendship ~ always there.

Stunning write my friend, beautiful...our hands hold much power when doubled for the right reason, God does guide us through this life, if we only allow him and listen to that still small voice. Enjoyed this very much, glad I stopped by!
Blessings,
Joyce Bowling
