Poem Artwork

I understand you without translation...
Our passion for the other is a different language
It transpires a difference even though there is a mere likeness of a difference...
The language is a spiritual asset of hearts and souls...
I never thought before of a barrier in people...
Smiles are the same...
Warmth is all heated and cold is...
Cold
Flesh speaks alone by touch
Feeling...
Hearts speak by knowing and sensing warmth and familiar fuzziness
Eyes speak with a knowledge that even minds can't comprehend today
They search souls to find paths
They realize before the brain that the heart speaks...
No language barrier here
No wars can ever change the transpiration of love in a pair of eyes
Reach out for souls
History is full of these testaments Even a soft brush by a spirit on the sidewalk
Will freeze a smile...
Cause the heart to walk that same path again and again
Search for that special language that isn't "spoken"
For that brush that grabs the soul of the stranger
It's intrigue...
The soul can feel what the mind cannot vision...
It speaks.

We need no words
Though they are there
If you were in Grand Central Station...
I would find you.
It's the tender smile that sets a porcelain face apart in a crowd...
A memory unshaken and spoken in silence...
Frozen in time and searched for the lifetime.

I think you understand...NO!!
I'm sure you do.

The heart, soul and spirit doesn't need an interpreter...
The words aren't what forms the bond.

Opposites attract. It is built into our genetic code to seek out the strongest mate. Sometimes words become meaningless in the dance of life and speech is speechless.

As the Bee Gees used to sing " Talk, In Everlasting Words "... " And Dedicate Them All To Me "....
We make or break our world by the veracity of our words...

Ab-so-lutely and uh, huh! Words are mere actors lines performed by rote. Words attempt too camouflage real meaning but the eyes betray the superficial almost every time. The reason we are captivated and fooled by words is that they usually say what we want to hear, mainly that we are just about as wonderful as can be. There is a line in the novel (and movie) "Lonesome Dove," which goes, I'm paraphrasing now, "If you won't lie for a poke, you don't want it bad enough." Words. A writer's and poet's mainstay, but they are determental to a love affair because for the most part we only say what we think the other person wants to hear for our own self gain. It is only after the prize has been won that words become more honest, therein lies the problem. Sorry about going on and on . . .

As the lady once said..."what a wonderful way to say I love you".That is what this poem does, it captures the very essence of what love should be.

In the illusion of this physical plain words too often have been applied to express matters outside of the truth. Words and silence have become part of the conspiracy against the truth. The stakes are high, the soul of man is put up for gain or loss. Words are the contaminated means used to conceal thoughts that belong to the illusion. Quite often it is better not to speak and when feelings or thoughts are expressed they should comply with the truth. In such a setting and frame of mind no barriers exist.

What you do with words about speech... barriers... knowing without communicating! It's very good. Delicious. Intriguing. Normally, I don't care much for long poems, but this one ended too soon for me.
