our mystical style of passion
is ten times hotter than we believe
flamboyant, flashy displays
await to be concieved
dazzling every goosebump
with no market for happenstance
provoking our passion issues
into provocative chance.

Chance is both wonderful and scary yet everything we endeavor is based upon it. And how provocative it can be. excellent depiction.

"provocative chance" is a very interesting pair as is "market for happenstance," which isn't a pair but is good. Calls for some thinking about... thanks a lot for sharing

with no market for happenstance

This line is quite apt for the consumerist spirit of the age that prevails. Everything, including ourselves from the moment we are born, is meat for the market. Thankfully, neither Keynes, Hayek nor Friedman could fit the hand of providence into an economic unit.
I believe that little of our lives is given over to chance if it were it would be morally and spiritually aimless.
Having said this, what chance exists can be very provocative one way or another.

Image and verses complement one another most effectively to present a brilliant offering; thank you for sharing it, Susan. Love and peace to you,

"Dazzling" was the word that came to mind when the gorgeous photo of the peacock popped up and there it was at the beginning of the 5th line. A good word for the image and an excellent word for the read.

Enchanting image Belle. I hear the creature saying: "Eat your heart out Las Vegas!" You also turn up the heat with this embracing write.

It appears, Susan, that I am first to review. This is a rare glimpse of how we go about it, and the intensity of the thing. It is well done, and clever.

I like every word... except these, which would bother me if I were much younger: "await to be concieved" - Now, that's a bit graphic... doncha think?

- Bill
