look into my soul
two, but one...in kind
likeness of the other
image of a man
heart of kindness
reaching...
holding out the hand
fingertips that kiss
a touch connects
these two
eyes meet to greet
the other
these images of you
caught in breaths of reason
searching eyes of blue
holding hopes in check
for now
new friends, just us two
laughter of a lonely pair
merging two as one
hopes to smile that meet
to keep
see what can be done
wine to sate and smooth
the edge
needed to induce
easy gate ,let go
don't hedge
the process of these two
distance is the mistress
smiles to draw her in
passion the award
in time
meeting of two friends.
strangers in a lonely world
caught in eyes so true
blending one to each
a whole
two for one...

Lovely message. I have a very good "girl" friend and everyone says that we are quite a duet! I just got back from the Keys with her, we had a fantastic time. I can feel the depth of your words in this poem, so good you have come back to the den. I surely did miss you and your amazing poetry.
