Soft Light on a Pink Carpet of Fallen Cherry Blossoms

Poem Artwork

Dedicated to tomorrow.

Love is full and richer
Each time you come around
Lasting an eternity
Hardly called earthbound
More years than reality
Time is only now
Richer for the way it's held
Genuine and sound
Friendship comes in many ways
Caters to each hour
Dedicated love rebounds
Unselfish, never sours
To visit for a minute
In all our inbetween
In years or months, mere fleeting
It's the now that comes complete
Love for some is tepid
Compared to an unselfish burn
Whether now, next year...tomorrow
Real love always returns.

excellent write Susan
most enjoyable as always
But will there ever be a tomorrow?
as soon as the sun rises in the morning it will be just another "Today" and you will still be waiting for that other tomorrow
well atleast that's my philosofical opinion
Love & Peace be with you

Hi Susan, this is just so sweet and real. True love is never gone, no matter what happens in between when you're not together. The moment love looks at you eye to eye, it stays fresh and beautiful forever. Meaningful write.

Best wishes,
Sheri

Real love is like the restles surf pounding on the sea shore.

It does what does best. By being itself.

They are preserving reel love, too. ;-) Most search, and a few find, that lasting love they long for, the one you emote in this poem of the heart.

I'm so happy to see you're able to write again Susan. We're now publishing short stories as well at TWF and I'm off to read some of yours posted here.

DELIGHTFUL!!! A real sense of completeness about this, Susan, and your tenderness of spirit and sincerity of heart are palpably felt. Never was a wisdom write sweeter and more satisfying than this! One of your very best in both content and execution: fabulously tight writing. Delicious, thank you! :)) xx .... And no, not been in touch with our Ken, sadly. He's been back in Scotland recently, I think, but is long gone again to China teaching English.

I beleive there are many degrees of love...sometimes we fall in love only to discover that it is not mutual, sometimes someone falls in love with us but one or the other party is not free to love, sometimes love is mistaken for lust or in some cases lust is mistaken for lust, we can fall out of love, or fall into love...there is though always a part of the one we love captured inside our hearts that we can always return to when we need them...

Ab-so-lutely! The reason real love returns is the always optimistic look into the future and what it will hold for us. We need love to complete ourselves.
