Yep...that would be me...years ago! The other half of this picture is the poem.
It's raining here off and on so I'm going through old writes. This one is about a photograph I found and I'd torn off the part of a person I'd chosen to condition. Although we play games like this to forget the past... we always remember the visual.

Mirror images and light
Refractions of a minute
Dated portrait inset
Pains are merely hinted
Fine line of a feather
Brushed with artists hand
Justifying moments
Hourglass in sands
Shadows in a mirror
Etched in time's array
Severed image photo
Seclusion in the grays
This woman like a rose in time
Rosy cheeks a glow
Breathing in this moment
Another breath she glows
Aloof and charming angel
Rose of Cardinal red
Visions of a dreamer
Love is tender fed
Careful is this image
Always looking back
Intelligence of wisdom
With mirror imaged tact.
you have penned this with such photographic precision it's as if the negative was still developping in the mind's eye, separating the white from the black to eradicate the grainy greys. Sometimes in relationships we have to do this - separate ourselves out to gain a proper perspective of self and other (particularly when a form of co-mingling has become confused). Sometimes it's just more healthy this way and enables us to preserve the image of "all that was good before it turned bad". Beautiful and holistic justifications here, Susan. xx
Susan, and a beauty you were and a beauty you are / I have a photo or two in similar vein / I shudder when I bring it out to look upon it again / Sometimes the ghosts are better hidden / Beautiful words that hint, rather than accuse . . .
An honest look at severing ties...it's times like these when we look back and can see our growth. The years pass and our wisdom flows from experience...justification like sands through the hour glass allot us a moment in time, Susan...and so are the days of our lives...be well.
