There is a person who stands out in my life as a great friend who has perservered, loved me for who I am, stood by me whenever I was alone and has always been a part of me no matter where he is, how far away or circumstances that would normally cause a friendship to end. He is always a beat in my heart and an individual who stands heads taller than others. Then there are the times when I wonder...what if circumstances had been different. Would we be the couple to have that perfect relationship that would have given us bliss rather than heading out the path with another and enduring all the pains we have accumulated along life's path. What if things were different?

You share a time from heaven
Its all you'll have til then
When he comes to you in thought
Then takes your heart again
His smell is all that's left now
His image tattooed where
His goodbye smile is etched in time
Inside til he is here
Then once again you're the best
The one who he loves... too
His hands inside your hands as one
His thoughts and yours are true
He whispers that adoring you
Has come to him this time
He breaths you in and turns you out
Whispers forever...MINE
He speaks of plans that he can't keep
You hold in all your fears
He is the precious beat of time
He doesn't know your tears
He takes your heart then drives away
You cherish thoughts again
When he will come back bearing love
Where his heart has always been
If time were not as generous
Then nature surely would
Give to two this time for life

This is touching :`( YOU my lady are WONDERFUL to write such prose! Your heart is still strong and STILL loves....I'd go get him if I were you :) Still sounds like something is there to me. The power in this shows it. The first stanza completely blew me away. Left me breathless. And the rest explained it. The end left it open...maybe like your heart? This is pain and pleasure at the same time.
