~ To Dream Awake ~


"When words utterly fail me, I send you dreams and kisses and a vision of my eyes that express all I cannot say. Hold me please_ in your dreams". CM

I tucked my pillows all around
So not to feel alone
Into the dead quiet of night
I ached for you into my bones
My yearning pierced each silent wail
Into a void they groped and fell
Until my lonely twisted aches
Slipped me to sleep to dream awake!




~Illusion~

In the diminished power of illusion
Her tears lasso a dream
Facets fade as the shade draws
Upon embroidered gloss she screams
In quiet sobs she remorses
What was then, is now... and gone
She holds the smile he gave her
Then pain strikes to her bones
Regrets of why it happened
Their crossroads of pure pain
When he came out of nowhere
Then for years echoed her name
It just wasn't meant to happen
As farrowed dreams paint fault
They bow to her fast sorrow
As her tears turn into salt
This world can be so beautiful
As dawn begins each day
But love can paint a canvas
Turn sunshine into grays
They take another pathway
Never knowing what is gone
To live a life without true love
Then go their way alone.

Queen Bee of our dynasty
Sweet Mother of us eight
Bastion of strength for our family
Wisdom to keep us all straight.

Sweet Mother of heart and compassion
A lover of animal and man
Never underestimates the future
Never I can't but I CAN!

Leader of our family now
Since Dad has ventured on
Heart so huge it's endless
For our family, friends_ the throng.

She sits highest on her pedastal
Since birth it's been her fate
We all love her as mother

I'm still in Sarasota working. I'm not sure when I'll get back to Savannah but I love being around great artist. I write when I get back to my hotel at nights.
