It seems like only yesterday when our hearts were gay and loving

You taught me how to dance the cha-cha

I was said to be charming and a "doll"

In those days of the fifties I was strong and healthy

I boxed three times in the Golden Gloves

I wanted to be a professional athlete

Football, Baseball, or a boxer

Instead I turned into a life of drunken stupor

I lost you after we had two beautiful children

Deserving I think not for I had my demons

But I became a promiscuous young fool

It took thirty years to find my way to Jesus

Now an old relic of a human being I am born again

But is it to late for this former sinner

JESUS has told me no by no means am I finished

So I struggle but with my head held high

For I know living or dead I am a child of GOD

My duty now is just to serve the living in the name of JESUS

I am always here for you,or you in the name of JESUS CHRIST
