A Good Cigar

It is recess time in my house

My mind is clearing

My brain is pitching out new ideas

Woe is me as I look out to North Mountain

A sudden inclination is to climb it

Do I really think I can survive the climb

Sure, what is the worse that can happen

A fall to my death is possible

But worse would be a fall resulting in broken bones

My ankle took 15 weeks to heal and still hurts

What would a broken back feel like

I can imagine excruciating pain

No I think a nice cigar sitting in a lounge chair would be apropos 

I have some cubans, puffing on one would be so relaxing

Hibernation and a very good cigar would be a delight

So who needs a woman to complain about a cigar

I do, that's who

For some unknown reason I like the smell of a good cigar, it's manly. Enjoyed the poem Tony.

a Nice cigar can be very exotic to a woman..As long as you don't blow smoke in her face...
solitude, a cigar and some soft music sounds like a winner to me.

You always write from your mind and heart mixing up an afternoon delight. A little wine with that cigar and who knows what will happen next, maybe pick up that telephone and make a few calls...

HA! Tony this is Classic! A Good Cigar goes with a Good Mason jar of whiskey...plenty of women would love to be in that Queen's lounger sitting right next to you...blowing smoke rings to each other...I can smell the cigar aroma now floating here in Colorado...It's a girl! Pass out the cigars! Be well...
