BLIND THOUGHTS
Writing feeds my passion
though my thoughts are often blind,
but putting them on paper
helps me clear my mind.
Like
Beauty is only skin deep,
but ugly runs clear through.
Nasty is a trait,
but not one that flatters you.
Or
Humor reduces stress,
though it’s really not a cure.
Sometimes it helps relieve
the pain one must endure.
Or maybe
Acting like a witch,
or that word that begins with B
not a good characteristic,
nor one we like to see.
Maybe even
The future offers knowledge,
memories stir the past,
weapons insure our freedom,
if we handle them with class….
Writing feeds my passion,
helps me clear my mind.
Still, after putting them on paper
my thoughts are often blind.

Through the lenses of their eyes
They can see beauty with their hearts
The way they also see our lies
