THE DANIELS BOYS,
(Partying with Charlie & Jack)
Intended as a country song
I’m heading down Old Dixie,
the beach in my rear view mirror,
all that crap she was spouting
couldn’t have made it any clearer.
Our love is ancient history
and I’ve earned my PHD
and though I’m not yet over her,
I’m expecting soon to be.
I’m heading for a “Honky Tonk”
and I won’t be going back.
I’ll be hanging with the Daniels boys
my buddies, Charlie and Jack.
Chorus
I’ll crank up the juke box
while Charlie plays his fiddle,
throw back a couple Mind Erasers
with a Black Jack in the middle.
The world’s a better place
Since I’ve developed the knack
of partying with the Daniels boys,
my buddies,,,,, Charlie and Jack.
I can’t believe she’d drop me
for such a sleazy guy,
Now, as Charlie sang in his song,
I’m drinking my baby goodbye.
He must be hung like a horse,
or have pockets full of cash,
but he’ll soon be finding out
she’s an expensive piece of trash.
As for me, I’ll be at the Boardwalk
and I won’t be coming back,
I’ll party hearty with the Daniels boys,
my buddies, Charlie and Jack.
Chorus
I’ll crank up the juke box
while Charlie plays his fiddle,
throw back a couple mind erasers
with a Black Jack in the middle.
The world’s a better place
Since I’ve developed the knack
of partying with the Daniels boys,
my buddies,,,,, Charlie and Jack.
I’m drinking my baby goodbye.
Partying with Charlie and Jack.
My good buddies Charlie and Jack
