Divergent Paths

It’s a big world. Floods, hurricanes and earthquakes are awful to deal with, but somewhere, at that exact same moment, someone is celebrating and life is good.

That's just the way it is....

DIVERGENT PATHS

One is too hot, the other’s too cold,
life’s just getting started, or you’re already old.

We start at the bottom, crawling toward the top,
one prays for rain, another prays that it stops.

It’s either too wet, or its way too damn dry,
seems it’s always a struggle, just getting by.

Upsides, downsides, diamonds or coal,
it’s not always a failure to fall short of a goal.

The sun rises on one as it sets on another,
followed by the moon with a gaggle of lovers.

Sunsets, moonbeams, storm clouds and rain,
some where, someone is always in pain.

Life can be unkind, that’s understood,
prepare for the bad times, relish the good.

THAT’S JUST THE WAY IT IS

Yea sadly the way it is...isn't always how we would like it but not much we can do but grin and bear it.

That's about the gist of things. Something good and something bad is always happening somewhere.

Good philosophically-derived choice of words in this gem, Dick.

As a wise man, that we both know, always liked to say, "It is what it is." This is a good reminder.
