This is my smile,
there are many more like it,
but this one is mine.
On my face is a shine,
built from life long grind,
in efforts to be more kind.


This world may belong to God,
but my smile glows from heart.
Energized from deep soul,
warming existence from cold.
Keeping me out of the rain,
helping cover up my pain.


Thank God for the sun,
it's as big as a smile of fun.
Thank God for the smile,
joy in laughing for awhile.
This smile is mine,
it is at times trying,
replacing a frown crying.
