Some say life is short,
but it seems like I've been on
a forever court.
Each day of suffering flirts,
lifes mean and cruelty hurts.
Inside I manage to feel good,
outside life delivers its devil food.
In a world of much misery and strife,
each minute of joy equals a long life.
I watch others in pain,
I need an umbrella for the storm drain.
Showered in the downfall,
I retreat to sublime enthral.
Out of all the outside ocean,
I learned to thrive inside motion.
Captivated inside a mind joying,
I move to outside toying.
Minefields loaded a ground,
get dodged, I manuever around.
I'm not going to Iraq,
be blowed up by a terrorist attack.
I'm going in the opposite direction,
have no foolish connection.
Inside a head going sad,
I force a brain shift glad.
In counting dodged miseries,
it seems like a forever series.
Lifes never short living,
counting each minute of joy taking.
If I make it another good day,
it will count as a thousand play.
Choke my neck, cut off my air,
I will still try to clear the dispair.
As long as I breath and control,
my life will forever roll.
Like a tank on the battlefield,
I iron clad shield,
strongly refuse to yield.

My deepest respect and admiration.
