Each and everyday I face my bad side,
it takes me on a magic carpet ride.
If I can't deal with mine,
what am I going to do when yours shine?
Mine causes a storm,
yours also might harm.

Others peoples anger,
stays in a mind to linger,
me, I quit pointing the finger.
If I couldn't effectively deal,
my whole life would go down hill.

At home,
at work,
sometimes on the den,
in the community,
within myself,

I catch hell everyday,
what's a 54 year old man to say?

I tell you what,
I'm use to the war,
I don't let it scar,
or scare.

I take my magic carpet ride,
and maintain my stride,
keep up my pride.
Try not to slip too bad,
end up unhappy and sad.

My happiness comes from effectively dealing,
with what's not so appealing.
Everything seems this way,
or is this way,
not going to let it mess up my day,

what the heck,
no use stacking the deck,
end up a total wreck.
