If you don't have a lust for living, its ok, don't fret. You might want to find one. This isn't advice, just poetic poeming, so don't get excited. Personally I'm speaking for me, I had to search my heart and soul for mine, cause life was getting pretty boring.
Writing is one, so figure the math. Drinking use to be one but I gave it up fifteen years ago. God figures in big, but I don't go to church that much. Anyway my ducks are in a row. Sometimes they fall out of line, got to get them back in order at times. Sobeit!
Better have a lust, or your heart and soul will burst. Better be real interested, cause you surely will be tested. Life will get real boring, with nothing truly adoring.
What is it you like the most, give a salute and propose a toast. This is your joy of exist, shake a body do the twist. Get on down to the beat, go out and fill up on meat.
At times my lust, I do not trust. Like the energizer bunny, I enjoy until my eyes get runny. Get out of my way, cause it's gonna be, a hell of a day.
Yep. You're right. Idle mind is the devil's workshop. You're better off if you dive into life and work it for all it's worth. ;-) Thanks for the pick me up, G. ~~Nordette
You have put a tingle in my toes and a buzz into my zest with the premise of this write, Grady! Just love it... all those ducks of yours sure are in a row - even though it can feel like you are perhaps taking pot shot at them now and again! Feel this is right where I'm at at the moment, too... though not through boredom but sadly due to pressure: all me ducks are just quackin-crazy at the moment and make Donald seem like the karma from the Temple of Zen. This is laid back and jazzin in equal measure. TY Kate xx
I love this one! You have certainly hit a nerve in many, especially me. It's hard to go from a childhood, where everything is magical to adulthood, where 'So that's how they did that'. Actually, it leaves you with a sense of boredom that you have to overcome yourself. Very nicely written.
Enjoy your day, Grady. We have the power to control our attitude so we have better days. You never fail to remind us of that fact. Thank you!
Take care,
Sherry
