I write for a lot of reasons, but this poem is about the morning or evening blues, I mean news. Some of the crap on the news makes you want to never watch it again. It can be right down depressing, depending on where your head is. After all the years I've come to realize that I might see anything. I watched the Nick Berg beheading video. My wife couldn't watch it but she loves blood and guts horror movies, whats with that. Anyway, what about these crazy people shooting and killing kids in the schools. Now some of the teachers want to be armed. Crazy uh!
The morning or evening news, watching can almost give one the blues. Watch or not, disaster in this world is hot. Glad to be watching in my shoes, not donating to the crazy news.
I never want to be a donor, I swear by my good honor. In my chair I watch and relax, knowing I've paid my tax. Not stupid like Enron's Ken Lay, in jail forever and a day. His partner got 24 years plus, then tried to plead innocent in a fuss.
I like to say it loud, I'm not in the news and proud. If I ever make the headlines flashing, I hope it's a big check I'll be cashing. Say it loud with cheer, no bad news is good news dear.

Aw, we all manage to get our fifteen minutes of fame, at least in our egotistical thoughts. (Not speaking of you, don't know you. Just in general.)
This probably won't cheer you up any, but I thought the modern world had gone mad until I started doing research for a Western and found that the 'good ole' days' had some really gruesome stories too, even mass killings, torcher, etc. I guess there's just more people = more crazies now?
