She was a young pretty girl,
lovely in this sick world.
She waited on her bus to arrive,
it was early in the morning,
the sun hadn't even shown.
The early birds were singing,
but one was evil bringing.

The next day her family worried,
the search for her hurried.
She was found in a vacant house,
along side a greedy mouse.
She had been murdered and raped,
the evil early bird escaped.

Until he is caught,
other first worms will be sought.
Living just enough for the city,
surviving can be dog gone pity.
It doesn't pay to get up too early in the morning,
or at least after the evil early bird quits yarning.
