Did you know that diet,temperament, sexual desire, proper rest, alcohol and drugs affect stupid? We are weaker to stupid when our defenses are weak or down. I don't drink or do drugs but I've got to get my rest. Trying to drive with not enough rest is stupid. You can kill yourself or someone else. And of course all us men fall prey to beautiful women. My eyes are guilty as hell but my resolve is strong. This poem was motivated by one days activities, couldn't wait to write it. That is after I got some rest.
Stupid was trying to walk in the door,
it has done it before.
The door was wide open,
it sure took some down on my knees coping,
a lot of praying and hoping.
Hoping I wouldn't be stupid enough to back slide,
dress up and go on stupids ride.
But I've got my pride.
Stupid never quits calling,
calling never quits stupid.
We are gathered here today,
to bury stupid away,
no matter what stupid has to say.
Stupid speaks up loud,
because stupid is proud.
So it's stupids pride against mine,
stupid toasts me with red wine,
told me to kiss its behind.
I toasted back,
knowing stupid never wanted to cut me some slack.
Stupid just keeps on stalking,
no matter how fast I'm walking.
I walk
I run,
I swear to stupid I'm done.
