I can live with my spunk, forget being a drunk. Alcohol use to be tempting and still is but I gave it up fifteen years back. Boy, will it soak up some bored time, almost have you commiting a crime.
I need exciting, this is one reason I got into writing. I thought it through, it's something positive to do.
If I was a drinking man I'd be drunk,
but since I don't drink I've got to
rely on my spunk.
My spunk is dependable,
but being drunk is expendable.
This boredom got me cornered,
but being drunk would get me dishornered.
Writing verse don't get it,
I need to get out and hit it.
Do it to my satisfaction,
because basically I'm like action Jackson.
I'll sing karaoke,
dance around on the floor like a monkey.
With all this nerve and spunk,
I can phony out like I'm drunk.
I've got a thirst,
having fun comes first,
since I've gotten older it has gotten worst.
I love good clean fun,
no jail house stun,
forget it I'm not the one.
Last night we danced the night away,
it wasn't enough I still want to play.
If I have to work five days a week,
let the other two be a fun streak.
