My negatives have been great,
but I still have some tricks on my plate.
My positives have been few,
so I had to figure what to do.
I draw energy from my disappointments,
within them is my anointments.

Disappointments teach,
they'll improve ones reach.
It's easy to make it when everything is good,
harder to survive when the termites are
eating on your wood.
I'll survive ten negatives,
to enjoy a couple of good positives.
Maybe even one,
after the math is done.

Life deals the cards,
it's mostly jokers hards.
If you can't play the game,
real early you'll go down in flame.
I've been playing this game for years,
I've lost quite a few,
but I'm in control of my fears.
My fears don't rule,
they just hang around and drool,
the more they drool,
the greater my cool.
I'm constantly entering and leaving school,
no more graduating the fool.
