no Thorns

Roses are red.

Poem Artwork

No thorns
just a rose,
life would be
better I suppose.
No hate,
only lovenly relate,
all in a happy state.

Yet we all
love the rose,
ignore the thorns
that grows.
Roses are given,
trespasses are forgiven.

Life is a rose growing,
we all know the
thorns showing.
Out of all
the lovely flowers,
the rose over showers,
in life it towers,
projects its powers.

AWESOME similarity of a Beautiful rose of Life!
to me the thorns help GUIDE! as in trailing vines being guided to another place!

Ah, the beauty of the rose portrayed wonderfully in your poem, Grady. Yet, God has a reason for thorns...a protective defense at times, both for the rose and humans :o)

Roses are beautiful and as your poem attests, we have to watch out for the "thorns" in life and be careful for beauty too brings pain if we're not careful. A good write.
