We try,
sometimes I wonder why.
Other times we know,
it's as clear as
a picture show.
We try love,
regardless of all the
push and shove.

I've been pushed hard,
the daggers been
shoved through my heart.
Actually I should be
love dead,
with nothing but
hate in my head.

Love hardly ever works,
because of all
the bull that perks.
When we give up on love,
love gives up on us,
we die down inside,
the devil takes us
on a ride,
next goes our
personal pride.
Once the pride goes,
we slip and slide.
Slip into this
and slide into that,
sooner or later we
become totally
pinned to the mat,
with no idea
where we're at.
