She had a right to feel like a victim, so did he. A fictional poem dealing with fear and paranoia.
He became a victim,
the victim became him.
She was lovely and smart,
she touched his heart,
she knew it right from the start,
Her paranoia made him apart,
apart of her fear,
so much for love my dear.
He shyed away from
showing affection,
knowing he'd be part of
the fear connection.
Showing love is one thing,
becoming apart of
fear brewing is another,
it's not worth the bother,
then again love is the sun,
should he retreat or run,
remains the question?
Questions should be answered,
the same as fear
should be addressed,
Questions are answered easier,
running is not a pleaser,
sometimes love is even a teaser.
So he decides to retreat,
one way to delete,
feeling like a victim.
Some deep thoughts here Grady, so well written. Fear will rule our lives only if we let it.

Neat one, Grady. This expresses a classical syndrome from psychology, which has a script like this: "I am rejecting you before you can reject me." Potential relationships are killed, stillborn, before they can develop. I like the way you worked the mental permutations on this one.
