Can you stand alone
survive when everyone is gone
When you're being ignored
instead of adored
Are you going to stay up
or allow yourself to be floored
Just where do you belong
in the categories weak or strong
When it comes to my stories
I've been in both categories
The weak has no glories
other than a few surprises
which arrives in many disguises
most become despises
offering only downs and
hardly no rises
But we are what we are
poor man rich man
or movie star
It really isn't a must
that we wisely adjust
Quite a few weak thrive regardless
even though they seem heartless
Just add too much flame
you might regret hearing their name
One consoling fact: We don't ever have to stand alone when we have God on our side; I'm a witness to this!
Wonderful message you give us in this poem, Grady! Another very good poem to your credit, friend...

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
