Work is an activity that we have to do, especially if we aren't rich. Fun is an activity that we should definitel pursue, as much as we want to.
I'm into picnic seven
anyway sooner or later
we'll end up in hell or heaven
Let the good times roll
until it's time to enter the hole
Pray to the Lord that
heaven gets your soul
and evil doesn't take it's toll
I'll be sitting in the morning sun
thinking about all that's fun
I'll be sitting until the day is done
even after there is no sun
I'll be right there with no
plans to run
Unless it's in the direction of
eat drink and be merry
a place where there's less worry
Seven days a week
from work I need a break
Let there be no mistake
I love my birthday day cake
no use being phony or fake
Like a termite after wood
I'd have fun everyday if I could
Picnic seven
until I hit hell or heaven
Gotta take time for rest and play, Grady! Think about what makes "Jack, the dull man" :o) Love your poem, but you gotta define for me...Picnic seven? A Sunday? A birthday?

"Picnic Seven" interesting and yet true
Unique the way you assembled poetic verbiage.
Blessings and take care,
