The moon is shining bright
the vampires roam the night
The bloodsuckers want their bite
The wolfman howls out
bodily destruction is what he's about
Worse than the monsters is man
especially if he has an evil plan
Before we run into the vampire
our common sense require
that we watch our back
from a two legged attack
No wolfman will be howling
not before the crooks start profiling
The predator comes out to play
everything he touches becomes decay
Not even the buzzard soars the night sky
Two legged vultures need no wings to fly
As the night falls to day
day sin comes into play
Wicked are the streets of America when the sun sets in the west / Thinking back, I know, without a shadow of a doubt that I am one lucky sucker to have made it this long. Yeah, I had street smarts, but street smarts will get you room temperature. Loved both of these "sin" poems, buddy.
The deep-dive literary meditations presented as stories, poems, and essays in The American Poet Who Went Home Again, A Mosaic of My Soul at Work, have captivated and inspired readers ever since its first paperback publication in 2008.
