Wish I could say
all my stupid bridges are burned
However life does us like
butter being churned
Sometimes leaving a man with
only bruises he's earned
In coming hard knocks
get ready to take some more socks
However good or bad
this old mean world truly rocks
Many men gather and hang in flocks
The group hates others skin
some repeat the same sin
Instead of adopting their own schedule
and becoming a good common sense
loving individual

I'm a lone ranger
who senses my own inner
and outer danger
Be very very careful if you
are a stranger
Be even more careful if
you are really close like my
sister mother brother or father
The close ones are the ones
that get my watchful eye
They are more prone to mess
over you and make you cry
Strangers you can kick aside
and continue your ride
Then don't even get into
the slip and slide
nor do you have to confide

Out of all the good lessons
I've learned trying to excel
is don't be afraid to fail
Fail a thousand times
until success sublimes
Even when success goes corrupt
try not to end abrupt
and if you do end
move on and still try to ascend
Sooner or later something good
my blend

I've learned that happiness is a choice
It can't come out of a comedian or
funny mans voice
I've learned also that happiness
might not ride in a Rolls Royce
or a million dollars in wealth
but it can be figured in for sure
when it comes to good health
even if everything else is stealth
