Don't Kill the Kid

(Have some control, sure he might need a butt beating but make it reasonable.)
I saw this man punch his sixteen year old kid in the face, knocking him to the ground. I thought, "ok the kid had no business taking his fathers car and wrecking it. Besides he had no drivers license." So I mind my business, Until the father made it my business. The kid didn't try to fight back, After his fathers attack. His father then started kicking the boy in his face. This is when I stepped in and told him he was getting out of place. Sure you should punish a child, But kicking in the face is a bit wild. This type punishment could end up causing permanent injury. Discipline should never turn into rage and fury. That "I brought him here and I'll take him out philosophy." Should remain a scare tactic and philosophy. Not a carried out catastrophe.

This is sadly the way some people think. A child is a person to be loved and talked to not beaten. I agree that the things the boy did was wrong but the father needs to find out why he did it. Not beat him. Children are our treasures from God.
