There it gleamed,
home of every nightmare dreamed.
High on the hill,
within was either a disaster or a thrill.
The windows were lit and bright,
making its aura visible to my sight.
The path was lined with temptations,
full of lifes mirage relations.
All my fears kept me away,
but I was tired of running each day.
Facing up was the wise move,
so I gave myself a big shove.
Up the path I ran,
with my heart in my hand,
My soul almost frozen like ice,
I knew I would have to make the sacrifice.
I kicked in the door,
ran across the floor,
sure enough they were there,
every fear that ever gave me a monster stare.
I faced up like a man,
then retreated like a man.
Oh, I'm still shaking in my shoes,
but I've got good news.
After facing up,
my mind is less corrupt.
Finally facing up was terrible,
but a lot less horrible
than suffering each and every day.
Now I rest better at night,
with less nightmare fright.
End of a story of fear and fright.
Have a good night.
