Can't beat them,
then understand them,
make friends with them,
but don't fear them.
You fear them,
they'll chase you forever,
in every life
endeavor.
Your demons are a part of you,
they want attention too.
They are all of your fears,
everyone accumulated over the years.
When you quit running,
they'll quit stunning.
Look them right in the eye,
then understand why.
After there's understanding,
they quit being so demanding.
It's the understanding that counts most,
don't do this you're going to be toast.
I learned to live with my demons,
then turn them to lemons.
My demand was,
"help me get where I'm going positively,
or get to going collectively."
They responded,
"forget it, we're here to stay."
But I still get my way,
and
I pray.
I use them in my positivity.
I don't let them rule with their negativity.
They trick me,
I trick them.
But the balance is there,
using them positively is fare.
They enjoy the game,
play with me the same.
I rule,
they
drool.
Demons can't
beat a good
heart.
Even if they
are a
part.
