the little girl
and boy.
Your smile,
the little child.
Your laugh,
on your own behalf.
Your sense of humor,
medicine preventing tumor.

If another reached out,
you'd fight all day about.
You'd fight till you turn blue,
if another tried to rob you.
To win an argument,
you'd fuss until resentment,
probably get
violent.

But,

when it comes to the inner fight,
the battle to keep joy in sight,
Positivity as your might,
you do not put up a strong fight.
You got to learn to fight inside,
just as strong as you fight outside.

Or,

you'll lose your light.
