Happy Face

I saw a happy face smiling,
or
was it a sunrise coming.
I ran toward the light,
hoping to bring it closer to sight.
As I ran toward the horizon,
its joyous affect was surprising.
The closer I came to it,
the better I felt near it.

Right up on it,
a powerful glow upon it,
I had to close my eyes.
With its effect blinding,
 my soul was still binding.
Full of joy from being near it,
I never wanted to clear it.

From my feelings of happiness,
I opened my eyes in fullness.
Blinded by its strong brightness,
my soul came to completeness.

I kept looking for a sunset,
a sunset never came,
then I heard the call of my name.
The voice was familiar,
it sounded so similar.
My inner soul was speaking,
my joy was talking.
It was inside all the time,
self-sublime.

"Happy Face" sounds esoteric and surreal... Its contents and message are impressive, and its flowing reaches the destination -reader- with full deliverance, although the surrealistic-esoteric feelings are kept.

I Salute You, Author-Poet Grady E. Morrison.

May You enjoy a Memorable Season.
