Dominos

One by one,
tumbling fun.
Spiraling around,
falling down.
Fun to watch,
hard to batch.

You say our love won't decay.
so I hide my dominos away.
I know how fast they fall,
so I will not play at all.

You insist to play,
so I give them to you anyway.
Before you set them up,
I leave the room abrupt.
You call out for me to return,
I refuse your invitational concern.

Why should I fear dominos?
They're only dominos.
But the last time I played them,
my love fell with them.
If the same thing happens to us,
my dominos will get the thrust,
this you can trust.

No more dominos,
just the way it goes.

G
