Old habits did hard, then may still take you apart. That is if you're not cool, and you continue to let them rule. Old bad habits hang around, but I refuse to let them take me down.
Eating is old as life, continues to cause me joy and strife. Sex plays its role, continues to take its toll, Old age slows the body down, but the mind still wants to mess around. Anger is cool, because I quit being a fool.
That is on the outside, on the inside, there are quiet a few a--holes I could still slap the piss out of, but I pray for forgiveness to the LOrd above. Three forths of them are kin, with some fools you just can't win. Watching your enemies, don't disregard close up in families.
Life can be the best, if you're up to the test. Taking the good with the bad, the happy with the sad, enjoying just the same, staying in the game.
After 50 plus years, I still have some of the same fears. But the fears don't have me, the way it use to be, they don't run free.
Life can be a sunrise, life can be a sunset, I don't live in regret. The past is gone, 50 taught positivity prone, leave foolishness alone.

Grady...I learned a hard lesson when I suddenly lost my son ...he was only 40...blood clott to the heart...he wasnt even ill..a time bomb...so....life is too short...we must live every day to the fullest...and always give honor to our Creator..and just let all the rest fly by...I liked this poem a lot...I related to it...and it made me think again...at how valuable life really is...blessings to you..floria
