I wrote this poem this morning as a reminder because I'm getting ready to go back in the war zone at work. Last week on Friday I barely made it.

The odds say we'll lose,
but not if we wisely chose.
Thinking with a clear mind,
won't have us chosing blind.
Negative traits like anger,
only lead to more danger.

Back off and take time to think,
please don't take an alcohol drink.
Life is hard enough in reality,
without taking its equality.
An once of prevention,
equals a night of descention.

Troubles may come,
some will make us succumb,
fewer if we don't act dumb.
The world is merely a stage,
so act away from the rage.
Acting like we're the coolest,
will prevent being a duelist.

Fight only if necessary,
six may not carry.
Chumping down doesn't hurt,
it's better than eating dirt.
Swinging a big bat,
may have our own lip fat,
then comes the regret.

Wish me luck!

G

Grady, hope your day went well. Being out there in the work place is not easy for sure. When times get rough, that's when faith will pull you through. Great way to start your day with a poem, though. God be with you.
Love, Patty

You are always in my prayers, Grady; I hope you make it through your job! I know how that is, sometimes my job is a pain! Do the work of three people, and barely make above minimum wage! And the ones in the back (where I work), most do NOT speak English! THey speak only Spanish; it is MADDENING! It drives me INSANE!

(((HGUS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(

Good write, Grady! Always a joy to read you!

Karma Bank to Following By Listening by Chiemi

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
