When will the pain go away
only if we find the words
our hearts can't say
under the layers
of pain and sin
Its hard to see
our heart
our friend
standing beside us
no matter where we've been
standing ready to admit
our every sin
our heart
our friend
And now I can say yes
I believe in you
yes the pain can end
and yes my heart
my friend
can be free
of pain
of sin
my friend
amen
