                                        "Pieces Of The Melodies"

                                    The clock forever a quarter till three
                                    hands still

                                    Starry skies bodies of planets
                                    pass dark space in one direction

                                    Pieces of the melodies aura
                                    the stereos romantic beat 
                                    fill our hearts a flutter

                                    Window glows with fireflies
                                    forever a quarter till three

                                    Dawn of the day to stay in
                                    and sip a cup of tea

                                    Pieces of the melodies aura

How remarkable it is that some melodies can sound like, or resemble, memories. It's those 'pieces of the melodies' that find a place in our hearts and souls that bring the listener the greatest joy. The illustration tells a lot that the poem seems to try to relate. However, some of it I don't get.

Ahhh . . . "Pieces of the melodies aura / hearts a flutter" pretty much says it all, Mary Ann, but the leading verses which preceded those two lines set the stage and enhanced them even more so.
