What creature

spoke of peace
and death slipped
out of his forehead,

Spoke of love
and vipers coiled
round the womb of his lips,

Spoke of truth
and a multi-colored bird
leaped from the iris

And flew away --
belching and vomiting
abstractions,

Then stepped forward,
dream to dream,
and ripped in two,

One for the earth,
one for the sea --
the sky raining desperately,

And the storm
submerged them
into the roiling depths,

And the stars
sank into their
mutual abyss,

Curiously wrongside,
forever speaking gibberish,
in the floating inexplicable
