A Dream

I dreamed the Saints
were inviting me into their
inner circle.

But when Death broke into Life,
they vanished before my eyes,
and my personal history
fell at my feet,
fragments of memories
scattered upon the floor.

And in my shame, weeping,
I tried to piece together
the puzzle of my illusions.
